I do not exaggerate when I say New York is one of my favourite places in the world. To me it's an escape and a photographer's paradise. On this trip I wanted to take kind of bucket list photos, not original compositions, but images I wanted to tick of my list of iconic photos. I also wanted to make a vlog to capture my search for these pics which did slow me down and on top of that I only had one day in New York.
One of these images was the very well known composition of the Manhattan Bridge looking down Washington Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Not original but something I had to do. ;)
After I got my picture I walked down the street turned left and discovered Pebble Beach. Pleasantly surprised I quickly got on to the beach, setup my tripod and snapped a few pics. I really wanted to explore more compositions but a mom and son started taking selfies in front of me so I had to wait. My my photo opportunity was cut short when a security guard or cop (can't remember for certain) chased us all off the beach. Apparently people aren't allowed on the beach. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to get more motion blur on the water to see how silky I could make the water and waves, but that wasn't meant to be. Next time I just need to be there before the start of day and see if I can get away with it, but it might be a while before I get back to NYC.
